Privacy Policy

Boboyam Studio ("the Studio", "we") is a private video production tool used by the owner of the Boboyam channel to produce short videos and publish them to the owner's own YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Instagram account. This policy explains what data the Studio accesses, how it is used, stored and deleted, and how to revoke access.

YouTube API Services

The Studio uses the YouTube API Services for the channel(s) the owner has connected: to upload videos the owner approved, set their approved thumbnail, post the owner's approved first comment, read comments on those videos, post replies the owner approves, and read the videos' statistics. By connecting a YouTube account to the Studio, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What data we access

When you connect your Google account (OAuth 2.0), the Studio requests only these permissions:

The Studio does not access your email, contacts, subscribers' profiles, other channels' data, or any non-YouTube Google data.

How we use it

We do not sell or rent YouTube data, use it for advertising, or combine it with data about other people.

AI services that help plan videos

To help the owner plan future videos, the Studio includes a short summary of the owner's own videos' statistics (for example views, average watch time and subscribers gained) in instructions sent to the AI assistants it uses: Anthropic's Claude and, if the owner turns it on, OpenAI's Codex. These services receive the summary only to answer that request, under their own terms and privacy policies (Anthropic, OpenAI). No OAuth tokens, account credentials or other people's data are ever sent. The Studio also uses AI services to make the videos themselves (Google Gemini for images, Fish Audio for narration); they receive the video's script and images, not YouTube, Facebook or Instagram data. To suggest a reply to a comment, the Studio sends that comment's text (not the commenter's account details) and the video's script to Claude; nothing is posted unless the owner sends it.

Photos of people (the cast)

The owner can add reference photos of themselves, and of adults who have given the owner permission, so the same people appear in generated scenes. Consent is recorded for each person before any photo is added. Photos are stored only on the owner's own computer, with location and camera data removed, and are sent to Google Gemini only to generate that video's images. Deleting a person in the Studio deletes all their photos; anyone shown can ask the owner to delete theirs at [email protected]. Videos made with them are labelled as AI-generated.

Facebook and Instagram

When the owner connects a Facebook Page (Facebook Login, Meta Graph API), the Studio stores a Page access token and uses these permissions: pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts, publish_video and read_insights to publish approved videos to the Page and read their results; and, for the Instagram professional account linked to that Page, instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish and instagram_manage_insights to publish approved Reels and read their results. The Studio reads only the owner's own Page and account and the statistics of videos it published (plays, reach, watch time, reactions, comments, shares and saves). It does not read messages, followers' profiles or other people's data. Meta's handling of data is described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
